Terms & Conditions
Your safety in the Mountains
As you are aware you can not take your safety too seriously when heading into the hills. Snow conditions, steep terrain and variable weather combine to make time in the mountains a challenge or a time of joy. Please ensure you, or someone in your party has the required avalanche safety skills to assess conditions. If no one in your party has the relevant skills then find someone who has or hire a guide to go with you. Before leaving home you must check your avalanche transceivers are working and carry spare batteries. Make sure your party know how to use their transceivers in search mode and that they all carry probes and shovels.
EVERY MEMBER OF YOUR PARTY MUST WEAR AN AVALANCHE TRANSCEIVER.
We also strongly encourage you to have at least 2 Personal Locator Beacons per group.
Assumption of Risk
By booking a hut on Glenmore Station, you accept the fact that the activities you will partake in inherently involve risks that may result in property damage or loss, serious or fatal injury. You acknowledge that rocks, cliffs, cornices, avalanches, changing snow, ice and weather conditions, river levels, and other non-specified natural circumstances are ever-present hazards when undertaking adventure or alpine activities. You hereby assume all risks and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, release all persons connected with Glenmore Station Limited of all liability for any loss or damage and from any claim by you, your family or your estate.
Prices
Prices are per person and in New Zealand dollars and include 15% GST (NZ Goods & Services Tax).
Payments
Full payment is required at the time of booking for all Cass Valley Huts.
You can pay by direct internet banking (preferred) or credit card (incurring a small transaction fee).
Changes to bookings
If you need to change dates within the same ski season and availability allows for this, then please email cassvalleyski@gmail.com with your booking reference number, name and a clear description of what change(s) you wish to make.
Cancellations
Our cancellation policy for the 2025 ski season:
-
Cancellations made before June 1st 2025 will be eligible for a 50% refund.
-
We will not be offering refunds for cancellations made from June 1st 2025 onwards.
-
We will not be offering transfers to the following season.
-
By booking you are acknowledging that you are taking a punt on weather and snow conditions. Therefore we recommend you take out domestic travel insurance to cover cancellations.
-
Please note that this policy is driven by many people cancelling last minute when conditions are excellent and also a large number wanting to push their bookings to the following season. This is all understandable, however it reduces the viability of our business. We want to still be offering our unique platform for incredible ski touring experiences for years to come so that is why we ask that you either take the punt or take out insurance to cover the cost of your trip should it not go ahead for any reason.

If I am not a resident of New Zealand, I declare that I will not attempt to commence any legal action in another country.
